Pathway 1: Immersive Day Camps & Project Weeks
Our multi-day camps can be hosted directly on your school campus using our fully mobile workshop setup, or as an off-site experiential retreat at our dedicated Mui Wo studio.
The Structure: Typically running over 2 to 5 consecutive days, these camps move away from small individual crafts and step into large-scale, collaborative project-based learning.
The Project: We challenge students to work in pairs or small teams to plan, design, and build functional, real-world objects, such as shared benches for the school courtyard, creative furniture restorations, or interactive structural installations.
The Impact: This low-pressure group setup is incredibly inclusive. It allows quieter or less academically confident students to step into natural leadership roles, practicing adult parallel play and mutual problem-solving without classroom pressure.
Pathway 2: Inclusive Work Experience Placements
For older students (A-Level, IB, or DSE cohorts) exploring future paths in architecture, interior design, industrial engineering, or sustainable business management, we offer structured, real-world work placements.
The Experience: Placed within our workshop, students don’t just observe—they work. They dive into structural technical design, learn the mechanics of traditional hand tools, and participate in heritage craft restoration projects.
Beyond Technical Skills: As a studio proudly 100% owned and operated by women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and ethnic minorities, our placements offer students a rare, intimate window into running a diverse, purpose-driven community enterprise . Logistical FAQs: What Teachers Need to Know
What is the student-to-instructor ratio? To guarantee strict physical safety and meaningful psychological support, we keep our immersive camp cohorts tightly supervised. We normally follow a 1:15 ratio for all of our groups. Our expert instructors scaffold every technique step-by-step, ensuring no student is left feeling overwhelmed or unsafe.
How are materials handled? True to our commitment to sustainability and longevity over consumerism, we heavily incorporate upcycled timber, offcuts, and reclaimed furniture into our camp challenges. We supply all premium raw materials, specialised tools, and safety gear.
What is required from the school? For on-campus day camps, we just need a safe, cleared space (like an art block, hall, or covered outdoor courtyard). For off-site camps in Mui Wo, we coordinate the studio logistics, but require schools to arrange student transport to and from the venue. As with all our school partnerships, we require at least one faculty member to join the session for general administrative oversight.
